Gamifikasi dalam Pembelajaran: Mengubah Materi Sulit menjadi Game Edukasi Interaktif Berbasis AI
Abstrak
This community service activity aims to improve teacher competence at SMPN 1 Kota Tambolaka, Southwest Sumba, in implementing gamification and artificial intelligence (AI) through training on Blooket for interactive assessments and Google Apps Script for educational game development. The background is the low technical skills of teachers in underserved regions in utilizing digital technology to create interactive and enjoyable learning experiences for complex subject matter. The implementation method combined community education (outreach) and hands-on training, conducted on March 25–26, 2026, attended by 75 participants including principals, teachers, and staff. The results showed that the participant attendance rate reached 94.7%, exceeding the 90% target; understanding of gamification and AI concepts reached 88.7% positive responses; technical ability to use Blooket reached 86.7%; and technical ability in Google Apps Script achieved 88.6% of participants able to create games independently or with facilitator assistance. Participant satisfaction reached an average score of 4.67, and material relevance to teaching needs reached 4.72 (on a 1–5 scale). All success indicators exceeded the specified targets. Additional impacts include the formation of a teacher learning community and a planned Memorandum of Understanding between the school and university.
