Literasi Keuangan bagi Kelompok Masyarakat Desa Sidomulyo, Air Kumbang, Banyuasin, Sumatera Selatan: Pinjaman Online dan Judi Online dalam Perspektif Syariah

Abstrak

Illegal online lending and online gambling have become increasingly widespread problems in Indonesia, particularly among communities with low levels of financial literacy. Limited understanding of financial management and the risks associated with digital financial services has made communities more vulnerable to practices that negatively affect household economic and social conditions. This community service activity aimed to improve financial literacy and provide an understanding of online lending and online gambling from an Islamic perspective for members of the PKK women’s group in Sidomulyo Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The program was conducted through participatory, educational, and practical socialization methods, including pre-tests, material presentations, family financial management simulations, interactive discussions, and post-tests. The results indicated that prior to the activity, most participants had limited understanding of the risks of illegal online lending and the negative impacts of online gambling. After the activity, most of the participants showed an increased understanding of the importance of sound financial management as well as awareness that the practice of illegal online lending and online gambling is contrary to Islamic sharia principles. This activity is expected to enhance public awareness in managing finances wisely and avoiding harmful financial practices
